Ich weiß nicht, wie oft ich schon auf das Bild von der Website gestarrt habe.
Es handelt sich hier um die Anfangskante eines Stoffes, das am Gewichtswebstuhl gewebt wurde. Diese Kanten sind im Fundgut meistens einfach gehalten und oft zwischen 3 und 5 Brettchen breit.

I don't know how often I stared at the picture of the website.
The tablet woven band was a starting border as the cloth was woven on a warp-weighted loom.
These borders are usually simple and in between 3 and 5 tablets width
Anders hier. Auszählen lässt sich die Borte leicht: an jeder Seite 2 Randbrettchen und in der Mitte 7 Brettchen.
Doch wie sah das Band aus? Das Bild deutete auf ein Strukturmuster hin. Aber mehr war nicht zu erkennen.
Bis mir dann Marled Mader letztes Jahr ein Bild, das sie aus einem anderen Winkel gemacht hatte, schickte.
Und es machte *klick* schnell war die Kette aufgezogen und das erste Stück gewebt.
This one is different. On each side 2 tablets for the border and for the pattern 7 tablets.
But how did the band look like? On the picture it seems to be a structural pattern. But there was nothing more.
Until Marled Mader showed me a picture which she did in the museum from another point of view.
Ja, es ist ein einfaches Muster, das auch schnell gewebt ist (wie es sich für eine Anfangskannte gehört). Aber irgendwie fehlte hier die Struktur, die beim ersten Bild von der historischen Borte sofort auffällt.
Also habe ich meinen Entwurf erst mal eingemottet. Und immer mal wieder auf das Bild gestarrt und mich gewundert, wie das wohl gemacht wurde.
Bis ich mich dann entschlossen habe, genau das zu weben, was ich sehe: die Struktur.
Abwechselnd Köper und einfach alle Brettchen in eine Richtung gedreht mit einem Richtungswechsel.
Yes, it's a simple pattern which is easy to weave (as it has to be for an starting border. But there is the structure as you the on the first picture of the historic band.
And so I put the design in mothballs. And from time to time I took another look at the picture.
Until I decided to weave exactly what I see: thr structur. 3/1 twill changin with all tablets turned in one direction wich changes all 18 turns

Eine Ähnlichkeit ist da, aber ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob es wirklich passt.
There is a similarity but I'm not sure, if it really fits.
Und eigentlich muss es in Blau sein:
