Eine einfache Borte aus Šilalė / Litauen

 

Dies ist ein Band, dass 2008 in einer Posterpräsentation vorgestellt wurde. Mit einer Abbildung und einer Musterzeichnung.

Es stammt aus Šilalė / Litauen (Požerė Grab 146 od 147)  und wird in das Mittelalter datiert. Es wird im Archiv des National Museums von Litauen aufbewahrt.

Leider habe ich keine weiteren Informationen zu diesem Band.

This is a band that was shown in a poster presentation in 2008. With an illustration and a sample drawing.

It comes from Šilalė / Lithuania (Požerė grave 146 od 147) and is dated to the Middle Ages. It is kept in the archives of the National Museum of Lithuania.

Unfortunately, I have no further information about this band.

 

Es ist ein sehr einfaches Band. Alle Brettchen sind identisch aufgekettet und die Borte wird kontinuierlich in eine Richtung gewebt.

Ich habe die Borte mit recht dickem Wollgarn (12/2) gewebt und sie ist 1,4 cm breit geworden.  

 

It is a very simple band. All the tablets are warped identically and the band is woven continuously in one direction.

I wove the band with quite thick woollen yarn (12/2) and it turned out 1.4 cm wide.
