Hochdorf - das Brettchengewebe vom Kessel (TK 7C)

 Manche Borten muss man mehrfach weben.... die Borte TC7C aus Hochdorf gehört für mich dazu.

 

 Some bands have to be woven several times.... the band TC7C from Hochdorf is one of them for me.

Als ich sie vor über 20 Jahren zum ersten Mal gewebt hatte, da hatte ich noch keine Problem, Hakenkreuzmotive zu rechtfertigen und auch auf meinem Schautisch auszustellen.
Inzwischen finde ich es schwierig bis grenzwertig dies zu machen und habe die Borte immer in der Tasche gelassen. Denn ich habe keine Lust auf die Diskussionen, wenn das Motiv so präsent ist. Ich will über das Weben reden, nicht über Politik und warum, weshalt und überhaupt.

Deswegen hatte ich vor 3 Jahren die Borte noch einmal aufgekettet und das Muster 'entschärft'. Dieses Mal auch in der Kombination Wolle mit Leinen. Ich hatte schon die eine oder andere Borte in dieser Kombination gewebt und wollte es wissen.

 

When I first wove it over 20 years ago, I had no problem justifying swastika motifs and also displaying them on my show table.
In the meantime, I find it difficult to the point of borderline to do this and have always left the band in my pocket. Because I don't feel like the discussions when the motif is so present. I want to talk about weaving, not about politics and why, why not and in general. 

That's why I warped the band again 3 years ago and softened the pattern. This time also in the combination of wool and linen. I had already woven one or two bands in this combination and wanted to do everything right.

 

Leider hatte ich hier Pech, dass die NM28/2 Wolle und das NEL 22/2 Leinengarn nicht miteinander harmonierten, sprich das Leinen leierte aus und das Weben war eine Qual.

Deswegen hatte ich mich dann vor Kurzem entschieden, dass es nur ein Probestück wird und ich nicht weiter webe. So werden ungeliebte UFOs beendet...  

Details: 64 Brettchen, Wolle (Waid- und Kermes gefärbt) und Leinengarn. 

Unfortunately, I was unlucky here because the NM28/2 wool and the NEL 22/2 linen yarn did not harmonise with each other, i.e. the linen gave out and the weaving was a pain.

That's why I recently decided that it would only be a test piece and that I wouldn't continue weaving. This is how unloved UFOs are finished...
