Ich hab doch einen Vogel....

 ... nicht nur einen, denn im neuen Buch von Marijke van Epen gibt es ganz viele Vogelmotive, die sie den südamerikanischen Textilien abgeschaut hat.

Ich habe dann noch das eine oder andere Motiv dazu geschrieben und fertig ist eine bunte Borte.

 

 

 

Ich habe mir Marijke van Epens Buch 'Tablet weaving with two threads per tablet in opposite holes' gekauft und hatte beim Durchblättern sofort eine Musterreihe, die ich weben wollte, nicht erst in naher Zukunft, sondern jetzt und sofort.

Allerdings habe ich es mir noch in eine andere Technik umgeschrieben (Sulawesi). 

Dann habe ich es mit Seide aufgekettet und losgelegt.

 

I bought Marijke van Epen's book 'Tablet weaving with two threads per tablet in opposite holes' and as I leafed through it I immediately had a pattern row that I wanted to weave, not in the near future, but now and immediately.

However, I still rewrote it for myself in another technique (Sulawesi).
Than I threaded with silk and started weaving. It was so much fun.

 

 

Das Buch ist 60 Seiten stark und all die Vogelmotive findet man auf einer einzigen Seite. Das Buch ist randvoll mit neuen Motiven und Rekonstruktionen von historischen Borten. Halt alles mit Zwei Fäden pro Brettchen. Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Anleitungen werden hier die Brettchen geklappt, was auch gut erklärt wird.

 

The book is 60 pages thick and all the bird motifs can be found on a single page. The book is full to the brim with new motifs and reconstructions of historical borders. Everything is done with two threads per tablet. In contrast to many other instructions, the tablets are flipped here, which is also well explained.
