Als ich von Marled gefragt wurde, ob ich ein dünnes Garn (58/3) zum Brettchenweben ausprobieren möchte, habe ich natürlich sofort ja gesagt.
Ich suche ja selbst immer nach sehr dünnen Garnen, um die historischen Bortenbreiten zu erreichen.
Ich habe dafür die Borte von dem Kinderkleid aus Ägypten aufgekettet, weil es ein recht einfaches Muster ist, wo ich 29 Brettchen benötige und mich nicht ärgere, wenn das Garn nichts taugen sollte.
Die Vorsichtsmaßnahmen brauchte ich nicht. Das Garn taugt. Es ist einfach nur toll zu verarbeiten.
Aber nach dem ersten Test habe ich das Band erst mal in meine UFO-Kiste gelegt und jetzt wieder raus geholt und fertig gewebt.
Die Bortenbreite entspricht den historischen Abmessungen.

As Marled asked me if I'm interested in testing a really thin wool yarn (58/3) for tablet weaving, I said yes.
I'm always looking vor very thin yarn to get the historical wides.
I tested it with the band from the childcloth from Egypt as ist is a rather simple pattern where I need 29 tablets. So I wouldn't be to anoyed if the material doesn't work.
But everything is fine. It's very smoth weaving and it's a good yarn. After testing it, the band bekame a UFO (UnFinishedObject) but now I have the time to finish it.
