Ich beschäftige mich immer wieder einmal mit den Borten aus Oseberg. Einfach weil die meisten nicht gut erhalten sind und man auf Sekundärquellen wie z.B. die Zeichnungen von Sofie Krafft aus dem Jahr 1904 zurückgreifen muss.
Dabei bin ich immer wieder erstaunt, wie gut man manchmal nur anhand der Zeichnung eine Technik identifizieren kann.
Hier habe ich spontan gesagt 'zwei Fäden pro Brettchen'.

I am always studying the tablet-woven bands from Oseberg. Simply because most of them are not well preserved and you have to resort to secondary sources such as the drawings by Sofie Krafft from 1904.
I am always amazed at how well you can sometimes identify a technique just from the drawing.

Bevor ich eine Anleitung schrieb, schaute ich auf die Homepage von Randi Stoltz, denn ich wusste, dass sie schon einiges zu dem Thema gewebt und auch anleitungen veröffentlicht hatte.
Ich habe nach der Anleitung gewebt, aber noch einige Kleinigkeiten für mich geändert.

I wove according to the instructions, but changed a few little things for myself.
Ich habe hier mit 20/2 NM Wolle und 28/2 Nel Leinengarn gearbeitet, das sieht gut aus, aber die Borte ist zu breit. Beim nächsten Mal muss ich dünneres Garn verwenden.
I worked with 20/2 NM wool and 28/2 Nel linen yarn, which looks good, but the band is too wide. I'll have to use thinner yarn next time.
