The problem had been that there had never been good photos of the band.<br /><br />So telling there is a band with a (rather simple) pattern below the brocading is one thing but showing the picture is another.<br /><br />I think that 'simple' or 'fast woven' pattern in period exists. I always suspected that weaving like this wa...Hah! I always suspected that weaving like this was period ... where the pattern was woven in.
